Welcome to the Northwest Indiana Dental Society

The Northwest Indiana Dental Society (NIDS) is a non-profit professional organization for member dentists in Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties. NIDS is a local component of the tripartite association of the Indiana Dental Association and the American Dental Association. NIDS provides monthly continuing education meetings throughout the year, access to community service, leadership opportunities, a voice for legislative advocacy in organized dentistry, and a fostering of professional and personal relationships.

Previous Events:

The NIDS members traveled to French Lick in May 2024 for the Midwest Dental Assembly meetings. At the MDA, many awards are given, delegates vote on dental issues and money is raised to support IDPAC initiatives (Indiana Dental Political Action Committee). We are excited and looking for to the MDA again in May 2025 at French Lick. Registration is now open! We can't wait to see dentists from all over the state come together.

Membership Meeting & Scholarship Dinner, Jan. 15, 2025

What a wonderful evening we had! We were thankful for Dr. William Hamel from Chicago Dental Society coming to give us a Chicago Midwinter Update. We also had the pleasure of hearing from Dean Carol Ann Murdoch-Kinch from the IU School of Dentistry, as well as the IDA President Lisa Conard. We were thrilled to give scholarships to 4 deserving students that were not only celebrated by our Membership but by their peers. We ended the evening with a wonderfully magical show from Magician, James Sanden. What a fun evening! Thank you to everyone who came out on this evening.
